Cristina Muñoz Pinedo, leader of Cell Death Regulation Group at Oncobell will chair Targeting of Signaling Pathways table in the next Oncobell Symposium.
Cristina Muñoz-Pinedo’s group researches the mechanisms through which tumour cells die in response to different treatments, and to glucose metabolism inhibition in particular. It studies the responses both at the cell level and the tumour microenvironment level, including the immune system. The strategic lines of the program are:
- Molecular mechanisms of apoptosis and other forms of cell death induced by glucose deprivation and ischaemia
- Metabolic vulnerabilities in sarcoma
- Tumour microenvironment in sarcoma and lung cancer
