Noemi Reguart

Dr. Noemi Reguart, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist at the Department of Medical Oncology at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and an Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona's School of Medicine, where she contributes to undergraduate and graduate education. In 2020, she became head of the Thoracic Oncology Unit, which she helped develop and achieve institutional recognition. Dr. Reguart combines clinical practice with translational research, leading the Thoracic Research Group at IDIBAPS to identify novel lung cancer biomarkers and integrate cutting-edge technologies into clinical practice. She has participated in numerous clinical trials, contributing to their design and patient recruitment. An author of many scientific publications and author of several clinical guidelines, Dr. Reguart chairs the EORTC Lung Cancer Group for Small Cell Lung Cancer and is a member of the IASLC Communications Committee. A sought-after speaker and scientific committee member, she co-chaired the 2023 European Lung Cancer Conference and currently served as co-chair of WCLC and ESMO-ASIA 2025. She also serves as a reviewer for international journals and research funding programs. Dr. Reguart has demonstrated a long-standing and active commitment to ESMO, contributing through scientific committees, educational content, and guideline development since 2017. She is Chair of the ESMO Nomination Committee, and Member of the ESMO Council since 2025.
